Traditional Chinese Medicine

Acupuncture is  a healing  modality  used in traditional  Chinese medicine (TCM). There is growing interest in the West about the use of acupuncture for in pain management, infertility, and general health maintenance. Acupuncture involves inserting very fine, sterile needles into specific points the skin.

Prior to your treatment, the acupuncturist will take a health history. Then they will come up with a treatment plan to address your condition. During acupuncture treatment, most people report no or minimal discomfort as the needles are inserted. The needles are usually left in the body for 5-30 minutes. After treatments, people generally report feeling relaxed. The total number of treatment sessions will be discussed by your provider.
